About

My Story

In my 20’s, my love for exploring different cultures, learning, and teaching, led me to a PhD in Anthropology. After obtaining my PhD, I established my career at the intersection of international development, learning design, and facilitation. Over the past 10+ years, my career trajectory has allowed me to design, develop, and facilitate courses for people that are trying to solve some of the toughest global health challenges, advance gender equity in programming, and lead at all levels. I’ve designed courses for English, Arabic, and French speaking learners, and have had the privilege of working with colleagues across the world and more extensively with colleagues in the Middle East, North Africa, and West Africa.

What I love doing

Collaboration and Leadership

I have experience leading teams, setting strategic visions, and managing budgets and workloads. I am able to recognize how people who are different can work together collaboratively and I am committed to helping team members leverage their strengths and grow into new areas of expertise. I have 3+ years leading cross-functional teams as well as geographically dispersed teams.

Design and Facilitation

I have designed in-person, virtual, hybrid, and e-learning courses. My work spans short standalone courses, week-long intensives, and blended learning programs lasting 3-6 months. Additionally, I’ve created diverse learning materials such as videos, podcasts, job aids, and more. I’ve facilitated trainings around the world on a wide range of topics with a focus on Training of Trainers (TOTs), gender, and leadership development.

Strategic Thinking

Meaningful organizational learning needs to be aligned with a company’s needs, vision, and values.  Finding ways to achieve this alignment is at the heart of my work. I love finding creative ways to solve problems, spotting opportunities to move forward, and thinking innovatively about what’s possible. Because of my ability to think strategically I have designed learning journeys, developed curricula, and contributed to business development efforts.
